Let’s talk inventory across southwestern Montana!
The Big Sky Multiple Listing Service (MLS), which covers PureWest's service areas in Gallatin, Park, and Madison counties, continues to show growth from January through September 2025. Compared to the same period last year, inventory rose by 3.2% to 3,161 residential listings. The average days on market increased by 3% to 114, and the months of supply lengthened by 14% to 15 months. These shifts point to a market that's gradually balancing, giving buyers more options and negotiation power while encouraging sellers to stay strategic with pricing and presentation. Across the West, fall has arrived in full force, with leaves drifting down and snow creeping over the mountains.
